We are planning on releasing a batch of 5+ week old  cottontails this Wednesday evening at a park in Denton, Texas.  If you are interested in joining us for this release, and coming to have a look around at our facilities to see what we do, we’d love to have you!

Please contact us to let us know that you’d like to join and we will provide you with all the details you need.  We look forward to seeing you there, and the cottontails look forward to friendly faces to wave goodbye to!

Well, it’s been a few weeks since the last time we released, but we were finally able to get out and get some of the 4+ week old cottontails out into the wild.  Many of these guys had been with us since they had their eyes closed, some even coming to us as newborns.

Below you can watch a video taken by Lindsay, one of our volunteers, from inside the carrier as our largest young cottontail is released! 

We released this big guy and 9 others into the wilderness of government-managed land in north texas.  Here they will get a chance to live out normal lives further away from the human dwellings where many of them were born.
